Below are commonly asked questions concerning your options and how the process of placing a baby for adoption would work for you.
As an expectant mother, what are my options?
The absolute worst choice you could make would be to abort your baby. Abortion has painful consequences for you and deadly consequences for your baby. Please call us if you are considering abortion, and let us provide you with the information you need concerning abortion procedures and the lasting, devastating consequences it will have on you, your body and your baby.
You may wish to keep and parent your child. Embraced by Grace, Inc. is prepared to help through our Birth Mother Assistance Program. Call our office at (386) 615-9767 for details on this program.
If you wish to place your child for adoption, we would like to offer the support and encouragement you will need during your pregnancy and beyond. We can ensure that your child is placed in a godly, Christian home with a loving, nurturing family.
You may be unsure about what to do. You may wish to place your baby in temporary foster care until you can determine which option is best for you. We can help you know how to do this.
Will I get to choose the family where my baby is placed?
Yes. The decision about where your baby goes is completely yours to make. We will show you profiles of approved families from our agency. These profiles include pictures, family history and other information that will help you make a decision. Introduction meetings can even be arranged upon request and consent.
What is the difference between an open vs. closed adoption?
An open adoption allows some degree of contact with the birthmother after the placement of the child and the finalization of adoption. A closed adoption allows for no such contact. Most of the adoptions at Embraced by Grace, Inc. are semi-open. This means that letters and pictures can be exchanged through our agency, but no identifying information is ever disclosed.
What if I want to keep and raise my baby? Can Embraced by Grace, Inc. help?
Yes. Embraced by Grace, Inc. is prepared to help through our Birth Mother Assistance Program. Call our office at (386) 615-9767 for details on this program. The purpose of the program is to help you find employment, housing and the necessary things you will need to be successful and parent your child. There is an application that must be filled out. There are guidelines to this program to which you must adhere. All applicants are reviewed by our board of directors for approval.
Is abortion an option?
Abortion is not an option because it violates God’s Word and the sanctity of human life.
