New Adoption Agency Opens in Ormond Beach

ORMOND BEACH – Adoption services are now offered in Ormond Beach by the newly licensed adoption agency Embraced by Grace. It is the first private not-for-profit adoption agency in Volusia and Flagler counties.

Embraced by Grace was founded by Gwyn and Robert Picerne, who themselves have adopted six children. “You can make a lasting difference in the life of a child who does not have a family through the wonderful blessing of adoption”, said founder and President Gwyn Picerne.

Embraced by Grace is a Christian agency that will offer domestic adoption services, home studies, MAPP training every other month, and services to birth mothers as well. International adoptions services will be offered in the future.

Embraced by Grace is also working with Community Partnership for Children to assist with adoption awareness and family recruitment. Community Partnership for Children is the nonprofit agency contracted by the Florida State Department of Children and Families to provide foster care, case management and adoption services to abused and neglected children in Volusia and Flagler Counties.

“Community Partnership for Children is proud to partner with Embraced by Grace. We are very blessed to have them join our mission of finding loving homes for children in need,” said Community Partnership for Children CEO, Ron Zychowski. “We currently have 60 children in Volusia and Flagler Counties under our care who are in need of a loving home and as a community we need to provide homes for these children.”
